Proposed Upgrades

Introduction

Explanations of proposed upgrades to the web app.

Category One proposals are easiest of upgrades to make, increasing in difficulty through the categories. 

Category One

Last Win, Last Place (whole career) - IN PROGRESS

Show the number of runs since the horse last won and placed in a race.

Ranks for Stats - IN PROGRESS

Shows 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc. for all stats to show where they are in the field

ADB2 - Ave Distance Beaten (against 2nd place) - IN PROGRESS

Winners distance beaten accounts for the distance they won by instead of counting as zero, this make the average fairer to past winners.

Jockey Male / Female 

A filter to pick the sex of the jockey

Odds / Movements in Race Card

Show odds at the minutes to post times of: 
240, 180, 120, 90, 60, 30, 20, 15, 10, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 0 & Current

Category Two

Beaten Fav (H/J/T)

If the horse, jockey or trainer has been a beaten favourite in the time period of the stats.

Last Win, Last Place, Last Hedged in Stats - IN PROGRESS

Show the number of runs since the horse last won, placed or was a successful hedge in a race. These are within the stats periods and for UK / IRE races only.

Combined Profit / Loss Chart

A charting system that combines a chosen set of systems with a stake for each. This shows overall profit, drawdown, yield as so on.

Profit Betting at different MTP's

Shows a bar chart of P&L for betting at different MTP's before the race, this means you are not just restricted to using BSP as the systems odds. The chart makes it easy to see exactly when the best times to bet are.

Heat Maps

Choose 2 filters, for example:  Draw and Going. This then shows a map of colours (red / green) in a square to show 'area' of profit. Low draw, soft ground for example will show up as green in 1 corner.

Speed against Course Par

Horses average difference is speed compared to the course par (pars based on average for course, distance and going)

Delta Stats

The difference between a value in 'the race' and the previous race, average, high, low, median.

For example:

Change in Official Rating from last time out.
Change in distance from the horses 12 month average.

This would cover as many stats as is relevant.

Race Cards Multiple Custom Layouts

Allows you to creates sets of custom layouts for easy access with operations: (create, copy, delete, show)

Normal Distribution Percentiles for Stats - IN PROGRESS

Shows 'how good' the metrics are compared to a global set. For example, a horse strike rate of 33% puts in at 83% compared to all runners stats.

Category Three

AI Assistant - IN PROGRESS

An AI system that analyses your chosen filters, with out without the ranges set and tells you most relevant filters to concentrate on (and which ones hold no relevance for running performance) 

Profit / Loss shown for Hedging

Add in B2L and L2B profitability as well as straight betting in the research tool

Place Markets

Add P&L for place markets in the research tool
Place odds in the cards and betting slip

Jockey / Trainer Reports - IN PROGRESS

A new page for building portfolios of jockeys and / or trainers. Based on stats and a detailed view of past performances, this proposed feature lets you create sets of jockeys and trainers. These saved sets will then be available in the shortlist and search systems. 

Some AI will be used to help you identity ones you might have missed based on your assumed preferences.

Add race, runner, stats and odds data to  2017.

Suitability

How suitable the horse is compared to the Going Speed, Class, Distance, Draw (and other relevant metrics).

Custom Subsets of Runners - IN PROGRESS

Add your own past selections via spreadsheet or Betfair account export, with or without your own ratings and any other metrics you have access to.

You can then use the system filters against any one or more of these sets to highlight patterns and features of your past bets (e.g: avoid hard ground, or look more closely at handicap races)
